Welcome to the Year 5 blog. Each week we will be completing 100 word challenges in order to improve our writing. Please look back through previous challenges from last year to understand what is expected from you.
The first prompt of the year is: … finally we can make a start… You must use the prompt as it is written and only use 100 words making 106 altogether. Good Luck! The Battle of the Bulge was an important event in World War Two. Please write any information researched on this below.
For next weeks History lesson, I would like you to research information about this man. You will have seen him before. If you are unsure, ask a friend or a member of your family. Could you write information about who he is, and what impact he had on Britain and the War. Please submit your information below.
This week I want you to think about another sense – taste. Just think of all the delicious or unpleasant things we eat. The prompt is:
…but it made my tongue tingle… Make sure you think about your writing before you publish and really make it as imaginative as you can. Please check your spelling and punctuation. Almost every family within our class will have been affected by the Second World War in some shape or form. If you would like to share your story (You do not have to). Write it below and we will discuss them next week. Speak to your parents or family about it. I will be sharing my families story next week also. It would be good if we had some stories to share and who knows, they may be similar to one another. |
