We have been given a new quest. In order for us to get a head start after the holidays; I would like you to complete all activities based around fractions. Try to get a minimum of 80% on each section. You must complete this challenge in order for the class to succeed. Remember, Thomas is leading our quest, so try to gain as many points over the week to take over him.

This week we are back to part of a sentence for this week. Remember the prompt can go anywhere in your work BUT it must make sense and be the prompt as it is written. It is:
…it felt like.. Before you start writing think of all the things you can touch & how they feel. What fabulous words can you think of to describe what you are experiencing. It might be an idea to close your eyes before you start and try touching a few things but make sure they are not harmful! Force 1: Tilly R – We have been learning about forces of attraction. Gravity is the force of attraction that pulls us towards the centre of the Earth.
Force 2: Scarlet- We have been exploring air resistance through paper helicopters. We timed how long it would take for the helicopter to reach the ground. Force 3: Tilly B- We also looked at friction. We tested our shoes out on different surfaces. The rougher the surface, the more friction generated. For this week's challenge, there are no words, only a picture. You have 100 words to write the most creative piece you have to this date. As we have been focusing on a wider range of punctuation - it would be useful if you could include this within your writing.
Enjoy your weekend! Next week we will be focusing on Time in maths. I would suggest that you access Mathletics and the KS2 Bitesize shortcut on the right hand side of the blog. This would be a great help for next week to refresh our memories on how to read and tell the time.
This weeks challenge must include:
…then, in the middle of the noise… You need to think about what the noise is before you start your story. Where are you? Is it a good place? How do you feel? As a class, we are taking part in a quest this year. This will involve us completing activities on Mathletics in order to get past each stage. If we all complete the quest, we succeed. If we don't, we fail. It is as simple as that. This weeks quest is for 3000 points. We have been gaining points to reach this quest in class. It needs to be completed by Monday at the latest.
Remember that when the 3000 points is achieved, you can still try and become the leader of the quest by gaining the most points that week. Good Luck! Our focus today was all about Passwords. Check your password and see if it can be hacked online on the link below.
https://howsecureismypassword.net/ We have another part sentence prompt. This week there is a capital letter at the beginning so it needs to go at the beginning of your sentence.
…As the flashing lights came towards me… Think about the setting before you start your writing. Where are you? |
