This week we have been focusing on geometry in maths. We have been measuring angles on a straight line and around a point using a protractor. This video will help remind us how to use a protractor accurately. This week you will need to think about punctuation as the prompt is a question. Really plan out your story before you start to write. That can really help make sure you use only 100 words and that the story flows. The prompt is:
…how could something so tiny… This week's 100 word challenge is linked to Children in Need. There are lots of superheroes in the world (they don't have to always wear a cape).
You have 100 words to write a short story about a superhero. It could even be a member of your family or someone you have invented. Our focus is to use a wide range of punctuation correctly within our writing. I'm having a few issues uploading images from the day onto the blog at the minute. I will try and have them on by the morning. If you could leave your comments on this post then I can add the photos and edit this later. Don't forget to keep practising your tables!
This week's challenge is a mystery. You have 100 words to write creatively about the image above. You could set this out however you like. It could be a news report or a story that builds tension. Try to focus on using a wide range of punctuation and grab the reader's attention.
Jenny & Elizabeth came into school today to discuss what skills and qualities people need within business. We came up with some lovely ideas such as enthusiasm, confidence, self-belief and humour.
We shared our knowledge on the Lumiere festival. We were given set challenges to complete within a time limit. |
