1965 - Sir Winston Churchill died at the age of 90. If you are not sure who Winston Churchill is then research his life and find out why he was such an important figure in our country's history. You could even ask a friend or family member.

Winston Churchill was born in 1874. He lived through two world wars. Throughout his life he saw the first cars, the first planes and the first astronauts in space.
Churchill as he was known, was Britain's prime minister for most of World War II. He was famous for his speeches and for his refusal to give in, even when things were going badly. For a time he was the most famous person in Britain. People all over the world know the name Winston Churchill

Winston Churchill died at the age of 90 years old. He was the prime minister in world war 2. He was born on 30th November 1874 at Blenheim Palace, Oxfordshire. Winston got married to Clementine Hozier on 12th September 1908.

Sir Winston Leonard Spencer Churchill was the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1940 to 1945 and again from 1951-1955.
