This morning a skeleton body was found at 8.40 AM at Bishop Castle by staff who worked on the premises. The Police were contacted immediately and we found the body stuck in the mud. It is believed the human remains were buried after a violent attack occurred to the unknown individual. The coroner has stated that the bones have been left there for a few years and leaves have grown around the remains. There was no evidence surrounding the body as the plants were large and over grown. If any more information comes to light we will alert the correct people.

Teegan and I were going trick or treating. For the first time we were allowed to cross the perilous stream that ran across the country lane. I was dressed as a cat and teegan was a witch. So off we ran, scrambling through the fern bushes and tripping over tree roots every now and then. Eventually we reached the stream shining my torch onto the stream we saw... that plastic skeletons had been placed into it! crossing the stream we exchanged glances hoping we would be given our favorite sweets: twirl lollies, spearmint chews, apple chews and strawberry blooms.

Hello and welcome to the Escomb news. Tilly and Lucy are going through the woods. Since its halloween, we have put in fake objects that will make them jump! We have attached a camera to there clothing (belt). Oh, off they go... Taking careful steps, Tilly and Lucy crunch with every step of the way. "Aaarrh!" Tilly screamed which even made Lucy jump. Oh I almost forgot, we have put in a fake skeleton!

One day two boys called Ben and Tom went for a walk in the woods with Toby their dog. Toby had his nose in the air and caught the scent something , he was off like a rocket into the woods ! Ben shouted of Toby but he was gone and no where to be seen. The boys ran as fast as they could after Toby whistling and shouting " Toby come on " but Toby had gone.

Good work Connor. You have written a lovely story based on the image. Could we have punctuated our speech? If you are shouting, what punctuation could be used to show this?

One misty night everyone was in bed. There was a knock on the door. The old man went downstairs groaning. The grumpy man opened the door. Stood there was a moving skeleton eating the man’s plants. The man charged through the door and kicked the skeleton where it hurts. On that same night the man dragged the skeleton down to the muddy river. Grabbing the shovel he started burying the bones. The next day the man slowly returned to the old muddy river. All that he saw were the words 'I am coming for you' scratched in the mud .

You have completed your challenge. Try to use a wider range of punctuation such as the ellipsis to build that tension. You have written a scary story. If I had seen a skeleton eating plants when I had opened the door I think I would have panicked!

It was a new start for me and my family; we had moved house to Boxwood Meadows. The house had stood empty for many years, there was story's going around the village that the lady who lived their before us murdered her husband however they never found the body. Once we got settled in my dad said " first job is to tackle this garden", so me, my brother; Max, my sister; Milly set away cutting the tall grass; the garden was like a jungle. After hours of hard work I came across a large rock or that's what I thought it was. We all helped to move it and underneath was a skeleton. Was that Mr.Greens body?

The human bones lay on the worn Mayan path leading towards the half standing temple, the bones were found outside the tribal boundary; how could the bones possibly be laid there? Soon the king was to find out about the bones from a local trader who was riding past on his horse. Later on that day the royal game of pok-a-tok was being played; the king jumped off in his cart to watch. Firstly the players walked onto the pitch to start the game in a cloud of smoke - who would win the game and what would happen next.

One day someone was on a treasure hunt with pirates, his name was Lewis and he was from Italy. Lewis was new to the island and he didn't know how deadly the pirates were or that there was a curse on the treasure that they were looking for. As the day went on it got darker and Darker and DARKER, Lewis started to become scared of the dark and his new pirate friends. They finally reached the last place on pirate island that they hadn't searched,THE HAUNTED RAVINE. The pirates pushed Lewis into the ravine were he came face to face with the bones of BLACK BEARD the pirate, Lewis SCREAMED!!!!!!!!

Well can I just say “poor skeleton” well I do suppose I will be like that one day but hopefully it won’t be for a while yet! Getting buried under the ground certainly not my appetite. Worms and slugs and other cranky creatures that live under the ground on top of you all day and night. Anything could be planted on top of you even weeds and that’s not very respectful for someone who’s dead. Although you do get flowers put around your grave for a few days after a few weeks they have all disappeared and there’s no more

Hello. On today's news is the discovery of this body. Who is this and what happend to them (arr)😬. The scariest thing about this body is that it was found in this area, Bishop Auckland!😧 do you agree. Scientists are researching about this body and so far they have found who it is, and the the person is Milly Harpoon. She lived at Hartlepool, but was found to have died here, but right now that's all we know and I would like to say that police are asking for any information on how this person came to Bishop Auckland and why. That's todays news I'm Emma.

Once upon a time a young man lived in an abandoned city. There was a secret about the city and why it was abandoned. A ghost girl haunted every house killing everyone but she never found the man as he lives underground beneath the city. One day each year when it was his birthday he went to the surface and each time he escaped from the ghostly girl. Today was was his birthday and he was running through the empty streets trying to escape. He was caught in a garden with boggy ground. He slipped and fell into the water and was killed by the ghostly girl and she ate him. His Skelton was left there as a warning to others not to enter the city.

In the deep dark wood laid a scary skeleton, which came alive every Halloween night and every time there was a full moon. He would creep through the wood hiding behind trees jumping out and scaring people who were brave enough or mad enough to walk through the wood at night. One night he jumped out on a man to scare him but did not see the man’s dog a massive Great Dane, which loved as all dogs do, bones! With one large bite the dog bit off the skeletons whole body leaving him singing “I aint got no body”

One spooky night, me and my family were out for a walk in the dingy woods, exploring through the trees and staring up at the glistening night sky. The wind cascaded off my hair as my foot slipped off the muddy track. All of a sudden, the wind picked up and the rain was coming swiftly. As we rushed back home, another man strolled past. He nodded, but didn't say anything. We kept walking, but the man seemed to be examining something over the horizon. Suddenly, a piercing light appeared, then a lightning bolt crashed down and lit the ground. We escaped fine, but us only......
