In France there is a river that dazzles under a golden bridge. This is not an ordinary bridge it has a big white tent that is at the end. The bridge is made out of square bricks in recent years it looks like the river has knocked it down or it was never finished in the first place . People can walk on this bridge because it is not dangerous, I think the big white tent has just been put there to warn people not to get any closer to the edge for their own safety so they don't jump of and drown.

I think that this is a very unusual bridge it ends in the middle of the river like a pier . I wonder if it is for fishermen to catch lots of fish. It could also be for people to see the brilliant view. The arch can help the boats to sail through easily with out crashing. Maybe there is a small café which sells food especially delicious ice cream under the big white umbrella. You might find swimmers in the huge deep river when the weather is warm . There even could be a road on the other side of the river.

Megan strode along stone bridge as the fluffy white clouds played bumper cars in the sky above her. The trees waved swiftly side to side as if they were saying hello to her. Beyond the trees she could see the brick houses standing firmly in the quiet village then the sun reflected off the rooftops. The white mini vans were parked up on the lush green juicy grass. Suddenly as if lightning struck more families started to arrive and start to jump in and swim in the lovely warm clean lake. Then Megan said to herself “another day in France.”

This bridge is only half built ,maybe because people can look for fish, or it might be left half built so it could be easier for boats to travel down the light blue fish irritated river.Or the river could of flooded and washed the old mossy bridge away .

Looking at the picture taken in Avignon, France I can see an old dusty, cream stone bridge. I think a long time ago that there was a loud , blue magnificent storm that came towards the bridge and swept part of it away.Over many years I think the bridge crumbled away leaving it how it looks in the picture. Some people could of been killed when the bridge collapsed ! I think many people today would go there because they would love to see the growing views from the bridge , watching the white glistening boats slowly going through the darkening arches.

It was in between 1177 and 1185 it was built after 40 years, it was destroyed in the Albigersian Crusade when Louis VIII of France laid siege to Avignon. After that the bridge was re-built with 22 stone arches. The four surviving arches are believed to have been built around 1345. The Saint Nicholas sits on the second pair of the bridge. Nicholas was built in the second half of the 12th century but has since been substantially altered. In Italy a flood came called Rhine when it collapsed into the water and made the flood. The bridge is in a town in Southern France.

When I look at this picture I can see half a bridge. It might have been washed away by the glistening river or knocked away because it is very old. It would defiantly be unusual if it was built like that and if it was there was probably a reason for it such as it could of been built like that for fishermen to fish off the end of it. It may well have been destroyed by bombs in the second world war and been left as a monument as many bridges were destroyed in wartime by the German Luftwaffe.

In the middle of Spain(Madrid) there was a half built bridge! It was only half built because Fred bury Embed(the architect)refused to finish them because of a disagreement with a aragent builder! Ellis dohan, the builder of the enormous structure, thought of an idea. "Why don't we build a tent at the end of the bridge, so the public can sit down comfortably and enjoy the lovely view of the trees?" he suggested."Yes,why not?"Replied Fred. Fred put a large modern tent at the end of the bridge. That's why it's a half built bridge.

On the river Rhone in the south of France there is a famous bridge called the Avigon Bridge. It is famous because it looks like it has not been finshed. The first bridge was built over 800 years ago and was very long but during a battle the bridge was destroyed. The bridge could have been made of stone and wood and has been rebuilt and destroyed many times. There is a song about the bridge: On the bridge of Avignon, we all dance there, we all dance there. On the bridge of Avignon we all dance there in a ring.

The old bridge stretched across the wide river like a big man built log with supports, until the First World War started, and a bomb exploded on the bridge! Now it is a tourist attraction, and fisherman fish like there's no tomorrow! It is in France, if you want to see it for real. Anyway, I need to go now so bye! "Goes to France and looks at bridge." This is my 100 word challenge I hope you liked it! And the bridge too!

I notice in this picture that the bridge does not go all the way across the river. I think this bridge looks more like a pier, so I decided to find out why. In my research it said that the village of Avignon in southern France had a river called the river Rhone, in medieval times the bridge was built , it had 22 arches and went all the way across the river. The problem was the river kept flooding and the bridge kept falling down, the people of Avignon got sick of rebuilding it so in the end the decided to leave it the way it was with just 4 arches.

Here, a 12-year-old shepherd named Bénézet was tending his flock one day in 1177 when he heard a divine voice instructing him to go to Avignon and build a bridge.

In this picture I can see a bridge where only half remains. Originally built between 1171 and 1185, it was originally 900 metres long. The bridge suffered lots of damage from strong floods. It was re-built several times before damaged beyond repair in 1668 . There are today only 4 arches remaining because the other 18 got knocked down. This famous bridge is in Avignon which is in France.

The point Saint Benezet is a famous bridge in the town of Avignon it was built between 1177 and 1185. It was most important pilgrimage route between Italy and Spain. It has 4 remaining arches I am not sure if it was built like this or some has been removed, it only reaches half way across the water it could of been destroyed. It is a old white bridge with a white canopy at the end.

In France there is a very long river in Avignon, it appears to only go half way across the river. This looks like a holiday resort that would attract tourists. The river looks calm and there are no boats or ships on it.There are villas and houses in the hills,on the side where there is no other half to bridge, this makes me think how do people get across the other side of the river. There are two arches in the bridge, with a sun umbrella where people will stand and admire the view of the river. There is alot of greenery around the river edge, but not many people this must be very quiet area.

The sparkling river under a golden brige in France is carrying fifty people, the best thing about it is that it has a mini hut at end of the brige, and there is dark green tree's before the brige, when I look at the top of the picture I see a large amount of house's so mainly a town, when I look just above the the golden brige I see a walk way with vans on, and the first one I saw was an asda van and two ordenery vans on the walk way and the brige is very old now and it is used every day now.

In France there is a strange bridge, because it stops in the middle of the river, it has two arched holes under the bridge. The bridge is surrounded by an abundance of trees with, scrumptious green leaves. People walk along the magnificent silver bridge to take a glimpse at the glowing ripples along the river. From the bridge you can see for miles and miles but one thing caught my eye, was the beautiful hotel in the distance .I was curious because I wanted to go to the other side but I did not no how to get there.

Well to start things off the super bandit is called Bob. Bob wears a maroon vest ,a black cowboy hat, cowboy trousers and a neckerchief. His weapons are a shotgun, a throwing axe, a knife and a revolver. Anyway when he fell though the second portal he found massive stone bridge but Bob was underneath it. There was a trap door with dynamite strapped to it and a wire. Bob cut the wire to make the bomb safe, Bob slid through the trap door in search of the sheriff.

Looking at a half bridge is very unusual and i think it is like that because some of the beautiful boats are taller than others.Or the builders can't be bothered to do the other side of bridge or it looks better like that with the swaying river moving side to side.It looks so old so the wild wind has blew every brick down falling down quick. Also people might have said that they wanted a change to normal bridges

It is the most unusual bridge I've seen because it's prised me with way it looks as it doesn't reach the other side.It looks like a pedestrian bridge and not a vehicle bridge as you can't get across the river in a car.its in a very picturesque location with houses on the very green hillside.the water looks very calm, dirty and I wouldn't be very keen to jump in it and go for a swim. you'd have to be very careful when your near the edge be in the water before you new it.
