100 word challenge #19

The prompt is just one word, which has to be in the story and it is:

SUDDENLY

The key to this prompt is the tension you build around the word. Firstly think about the setting, the characters, whether it is happy / sad. Then you need to plan what happens for you to write ‘suddenly’. I’m really looking forward to reading some spine chilling or funny pieces.

This will help us get in the right frame of mind for our story writing this week.

On a cold winter day I decided to walk. I came to a path off of the main road and ventured that way. The landscape became rough, sharp rocks and steep hills. I climbed over dead trees and waded through water. I was cold, cut, and bruised. The obstacles became more sparse as I continued forward. I was ready to give up because I was wet and cold. Then out of nowhere came a meadow. Light was streaming down from the heavens and it had the greenest grass with a beautiful creek and sunflowers. I made it through my journey.

One day I was playing out with my friend, we were talking while sitting on a wall then suddenly my phone rang. It was a call from my mam saying that my best friend, who had moved town, had come to visit me after the fair that was down the road from where I live. She surprised me without me knowing and we went to see another friend. She spoke to her then we went back to my house and then to the park. The roundabout made me sick. At the end of the day we had a sleep over.

One day a group of friends were playing in a park it was very hot so they decided to play football then go on the swings. Everything was peaceful and quiet, you could even here the birds singing in the trees and the bees buzzing in the flowers. The friends were in the middle of a very enjoyable game of football when a butterfly stopped play by fluttering around their faces. Suddenly there was a loud BOOM when a jet fighter plane flew overhead. The boys dived to the ground, the birds and bees scattered and the girls started to laugh. The silly boys were lying on the ground covered in mud all because of a noisy plane.

One scorching Saturday, Emma who loved to sketch, entered a art competition( it was for 12 years and up) she was really intrested and always came at least 2nd out of 16 when ahe was younger. Emma convinced herself that no-matter what happened she would hopefully come 1st! On Monday( 22nd June ) she was in for a big surprise.

Suddenly it was time! At 11:23 ( it was held at St Johns ) Emma grabbed her pencil-case ( which had all her art essentials in ) and emoji note-pad then stepped into the hall where all the contestents were gathered. She had butterflies racing around in her tummmy feeling sooooo nervous. As the winner was announced Emma's legs were shakeing but gladly she WON!

Dear diary,
Today my mam and I went into the garden. We lay down and had a sunbathe. We were listening to music; it was all going very peacefully. Later on, I decided to electric scooter around to the other side of our fence. When I go- Wait a minute, hold that thought…
SUDDENLY, the fan belt snapped off! I thought: NNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Mam’s going to kill me!! What do I do? Do I say I fell over? Do I tell the truth? I don’t know!!
I told the truth eventually and all she said was: “I’ll buy one on Amazon.”

It was November the fifth everyone was watching the fireworks, suddenly there was a splat! One of my sausages fell on the floor I was devastated. Sadly I only had one half left, and then just as I was going to have a huge bite into the hotdog my greedy dog called Max jumped up and ate the last bit of the sausage. I was so angry that I never had my hotdog, I started chasing my dog around the fireworks display and Max dropped it on a firework and it went zooming into the air. Bye bye yummy sausage.

My dad and I set off one Saturday to the theme park. It was a really sunny day there were no clouds in the sky and it was very hot so I wore shorts and T shirt. I was having a great time on the rides and splashing in the pool when suddenly the day turned for the worst! A big dark cloud appeared in the sky, it turned really cold and started to rain lots. Within minutes the whole place was flooded and I got drenched. I had to run to the car for cover so we went home.

Homework

I was telling a made up story to Jacob and Ben (my cousins) while there was a thunder storm outside. The story was about a person who was being attacked by a group of brain-eating zombies, so he took cover in a small wooden house and the person barricaded the door with a chair. The man in the story found a loose floorboard with a nail stuck out of it, he grabbed it and kicked down the door with one decisive motion and hit one of the zombies on the head and it lay on the ground, not moving, "SUDDENLY"I said, "dinner is ready!" yelled my mam.

SUDDENLY, as I saw my mum shake the giant bee buzzed inside my mum’s ear as my dad and I ran over to the muddy end of the garden. Then the bee buzzed away I sipped my cola though a chewed straw, and my mum just stared at me. next we put my two dogs into our brand new pool its huge I can only just stand coco (the girl) didn’t like it Archie (the boy) loved it he wouldn’t get out so me and Archie went for a swim while my mum and dad relaxed in the sun quietly

Well are wish is to be human in our own gender exclaimed Esme. SUDDENLY, pufff they were human. Now being able to walk around and touch stuff they realised what they have been missing out on but Amber had a warning, "by the fourth sunrise you have to be kneeling in your spots or you,ll be turned in to Sharks then forced to kill each other!" Well this is kind of turning out like Ariel but to be continued.

When I got back from brownie camp, something amazing happened.
As I walked into my home, I could finally smell
What I call my home smell, but there was something
Bad I had a pink, puffy elergic reaction, oh no !!
I was happy to be back home, very, very happy
The thought of being in my own bed, cuddled up
made me shiver with excitment. I wandered upstairs
And I
nearly FAINTED, I was not in my own room,I
Was in a big bedroom, with brand new shelves and

One dark and stormy night to boys ventured into the forest, they found a cave, one of the boys put on foot in, suddenly tons of thousands of bats fled out from the cave both boys decided that they had gone far enough. Meanwhile the two boys were running back one of them got his foot stuck in some mud, finally the boys freed his foot but then they found out they weren’t the only ones there, a man in a black cape, hat, shoes and time travel goggles was running after them they got caught but the man that was actually their mam!

One morning I went for a lovely walk in the forest with my dog Molly. During the walk I could see the lovely birds soaring across the pond whilst I was walking on the gravel pavement. After about 15 minutes something caught my attention there was a dark black cloud heading our way (as I was with my mam and dad) (sorry forgot to mention them). Suddenly, it started not just to rain but bucket down it was going all over my face, we rushed back to the car. Luckily we got back to the car before the hailstones came.

Monday morning and off we go again for the boring mundane drive to school. My dad was just about to turn the corner to approach Escomb when SUDDENLY a huge mass covered the sky, all creatures looked up to see a UFO ( unidentifide flying object.) hover above Escomb School. My dad had to turn the lights on the car as the UFO filled the sky which turned black.
As we got closer to the school, we saw a door open from the UFO and out came two of the occupant wearing the Escomb school uniform. We watched in anticipation and out walked the new starters that were joining class 5.

On a cold brisk Saturday, I went for a walk- a long walk. All around me was quiet until suddenly a massive truck can hurtling down the road! I almost fell of my feet. Well moments before... A bifg red breasted robin chirps in my ear and my dog(Sally) runs around my feet trying to catch a beutiful butterfly with bright blue wings. We were almost at my dance studio where my mam is waiting. On a beutiful sunny dance anything can happen.

One bright, sunny day there was a little girl and her name was Molly. She always went into a abandoned home with all her friends (all 12 of them) and put some music on blasting on her phone. But SUDDENLY a wierd looking person came running at them so half of her friends ran one way and the other half ran the other way. Unfortunately the other half ran into a forest and forest are sooooooo confusing so they didn't now we're they came from. But then one of there friends-the wierd looking guy- rang the, and said " why did you run away from me?"

One day a man named Jack went to his friends house and they were going to play a game of monopoly . When he arrives they started to play . Suddenly the game came alive and they were inside monopoly . It was finely time to start the game Jack was riding the dog and his friend was sayling a ship. It took a long time to finish the game at the end Jack wines because his friend William has no money. I went to a football match at the weekend, it was Sunderland against Chelsea. I support Sunderland so I was rooting for them to win. When we got in and sat in our seats all the players were warming up. Soon it was kick of we were rubbish! Saying that Chelsea weren't that good either. However Chelsea scored first, 1-0. Eventually Sunderland scored... It was 1-1...Then within minutes Chelsea scored again...it was 2-1 & half time. Second half kicked off, then after 20 minutes Goal, Sunderland scored it was neck and neck 2-2. The game was nearly over there was no hope. Suddenly, everyone rose out of there seats and cheered, we scored! Chealsea couldn't catch up. The whistle blew one last time we had won 3-2!

One bright, sunny morning Lizzy was on her bike. Soon, she was entering a biking competition and needed to practice! The terrain was rough and rocky but she managed it easily as she started biking at a young age. She went over a huge hill which lead her to mysterious place…
It was a shed full of broken, unwanted bikes. “What is this?” Lizzie whispered to herself in confusion. She ventured in further to realise that the shed was from a long time ago – a very long time ago. Suddenly, a flickering torch shone onto her and a shriek echoed. (100)

On Sunday we had a surprise birthday party for my grandma. We have kept it secret for weeks, which was really hard not to tell her. On the day of the party everyone met at the pub. Me, my mum, dad and brother picked her up saying we were going out for lunch. We told her it was a mystery ride. We were panicking that my little brother Noah was going to say something in the car, we got to the pub and parked out the front. As we walked through the doors into the restaurant, suddenly, she got the shock of her life, as everyone jumped out and shouted Surprise!

Today I when to my favourite place ever (THE WATER PARK.) Unfortunately it was full of people drenched waiting in line for any of the outstanding water slides, full of twists and turns, dark tunnels and lights. After waiting in line to go on me favourite water slide the disco slide, its full of lights plastic rocks and dips. It was finely our turn, it felt like forever. Me and my mam both jumped into the float. Of we go (WEEEEEE...!) but suddenly the water stopped following and we where stranded on one of the rocks as we looked up we could see mountains of water about the tower over us, we where going to drowned! (ARRRRRR...!) seconds before the water was about to it us a man wearing a snorkel. He swooped down and tugged us down the slide into the pool, few! "Thanks for saving us"
"No problem." The disco was know longer my favourite slide I got the shivers every time I thought about it.

One day Thomas was walking home from school. When he looked up he realised that he didn't really know where he was. He thought he must of taken a wrong turn somewhere. A woman, walked up to him and said "do you want to buy these special sweets?". Thomas was quite hungry so decided to buy some. He didn't eat them straight away and he began to walk home again. Thomas turned on his iPod and listened to music. He then started to eat his sweets and his favourite song came on. Thomas started to hum and click his fingers to the music.....suddenly!!.....as Thomas click his fingers again, he teleported straight back home.

One sunny morning in the land of the Brazilian rainforest, the Amazon, a boy called Edward and his tribe the fearsome warriors were off to end the biggest tribe war to go down in history. On there way to the war they came across too many animals to count, there were Gorillas, spider monkeys, jaguars and alligators all which they loved. They had troops from Jags, Gorillas, and HUGE gators SUDDENLY a bomb went off they new it was the other tribe RRRUUUNNN said Edward we have no troops or time to lose. Later the leader of the other team retreated.

One hot summers day Casper and his friends Connor, Liam and Ethan all set off to the woods. When they got there Casper told Connor to go and get some fire wood meanwhile Liam and Ethan were putting the tent up while Casper was getting the cooking supplies out of the trailer. Suddenly there was a huge flash of lightening and the wether changed from a hot sunny day to a dark thunder and lightening storm. We then realised that Connor had not returned then the boys started to panic then another strike of lightening hit a tree in middle of camp on one of the branches hung Connors coat then they heard scream.

one morning I went on a walk to the shop and I met my friend there SUDDENLY a man called bob walked in and said "to the shop keeper, give me all your money".me and my best friend called the police and explained to them and told them the address and which street I lived at. later on there was a bang on my door who was it I thought I went and answered it, it was the police asking is he still out here I said yes he's gone in that house (Pointing) over there.
