I was really disappointed when I found out that I missed the amazing Brazilian festival, I arrived in Rio a week to late! I found a local guide called Bella, she told me about all the amazing things that happen during the 4 day festival. Bella described all the amazing costumes that people get dressed up in. Bright yellow and gold are the most common colour to be seen on costumes and head dressers. Lots of people go to the carnival with hundreds of street bands and singers entertaining everyone while they are dancing to samba music. It is very hot in Brazil especially in February when the festival is on but that’s what happens in Brazil when you go to a carnival.

Fame and fortune was granted to South America, the North eastern Continent on the globe. Where the climate is known to be tropical, mass rainstorms can start like the click of your fingers. For the children they attend school from February thought to december only for four hours a day. But it is estimated one quarter of children do not attend school at all, working instead, especially in the cities. Families are often large, five or six children. Most live in cities. About a quarter of the people live in hillside shanty towns called Favelas -the residences of poor people. Made out of cardboards, pieces of tin. Sometimes no electricity or piped water. But that's what happens in Brazil when football is the number one sport and one of the richest sports has the World Cup on your doorstep.

I was slowly walking down the Amazon river. Then out of the corner of my eye I saw something floating down the river. I turned to face it. It was a giant lily pad! I looked closer, it was then that I realised there was a tiny little bug sat on it. I had never seen one of these bugs before. It had tiny little fangs and one leg. Suddenly it pounced at me. I realised then it wasn't just a little bug, it was a giant bug, but that's what happens in Brazil when you walk down the Amazon.

It was a scorching hot day in the middle of one of the hottest countries in the world , Brazil. My skin was burning quickly it was like a knife slicing throw butter . But then it started raining but the rain was warm ? But that's what happens when brazil is really hot and then it starts raining . Its like taking a shower really but its sort of outside . I thought I needed a bit of a wash anyway because it was only 2 hours before Brazil were playing against Costa Rica and I wanted to be in my best shape . So see you at the world cup tonight and wish Brazil good luck !

I'm telling you it always rains in Brazil but that's what happens In Brazil when there is a important event happens I once went on Holliday and all it did was rain (like usual ). Any way I was playing on that muddy pitch in Brazil and it started to pour down and I needed the stretcher and that's the story of how I broke my leg.

I was amazed by the Brazilian opening ceremony. But what happens in Brazil when they go mad. It turns into a riot because there's fighting and burning down buildings. And all of the police go and stop all of the fighting and rioting. I was disappointed about England getting knockout of the group stages with 1 point what a shame. They lost to Italy 2-1 Uruguay 2-1 and drew with Costa Rica 0-0.

The World Cup was about to start the football players were ready and so were the cheering and screaming fans ! Arr! Went the crowd when the Brazil and Croatian players ran on with there mascots. Fred was there along with his fellow footy mates having a great time waving at the fans with costumes and out fits and they saw lots of flags it was great

The match had just started , Colombia vs Brazil , every single player with intense concentration on their face. The managers were quaking in there boots but that's what happens in Brazil when there's a football match on. The people at home leaned towards there TV, who would be going into the final eight. Would it be Brazil , the obvious favourites , or could it be Colombia in a twist of fate. Who would win? No one noes but rest assured it was going to be a good match.

I arrived in Brazil on Thursday 12th June on the day of the first match of the 2014 FIFA World Cup. Flags and banners overlooked the roofs of every house in Rio. Although most people were celebrating not everyone was happy with the World Cup. There was controversy over the pitches being not ready and the stadiums hadn't been finished. But that's what happens in Brazil when things aren't ready. That night Brazil beat Croatia 3-0.

Fire raged everywhere in the distant moonlight. The deserted streets of Brazil loomed in the shadows. A small girl, the age of 7, was trapped in a heap of debris. The pain was unbearable and trying to cry for help made it worse. The world in front of her was disintegrating, growing smaller and smaller...
