Hello my name is Jack today is the holidays and I'm going to CLIMB a GREY cliff. I need to take a couple of things with me,a packed lunch, gloves and a helmet. So let's begin. When I looked up,the sky looked MISERABLE,the cliff was crooked at one point I lost my grip,my hands were clinging onto the old rocks for dear life. I pulled my self up and I thought it was a perfect time for my ham SANDWICH out of my packed lunch. When I reached the top I was laughing like a HYENA!

Today me and my family were going to CLIMB a mountain in Wales! It took us a hour and a half to get there. Finally, we had reached the mountain we were going to climb. My brother, Declan, was MISERABLE because he didn't like heights! Half way up the mountain we saw a HYENA which was GREY. I was surprised because hyenas haven't been seen in Wales before! At the top we had ham sandwiches for dinner; they were delicious!

An interesting idea Jessica. I never knew hyenas were in Wales either! You have included a semi-colon.

A good effort Ethan. You have written this as a recount adding thoughts/ feelings. Please check your tense as you have switched from past to present and back again.

One sunny morning, all the hyenas were out roaming the land. Mum decided that we would go on a picnic but I said no because it was getting quite miserable. Then mum said how about we go for a climb I wasn't up for it! Then I suggested we could bring sandwiches with us to!so when I told my mum it was to late she had already gone but just then I saw dad I asked him he only said she's going shopping. I was very curious of what had happened so I asked dad for a lift it was grey outside!

Yesterday I was approaching boots in Darlington with my friend Katy. When I saw this free climbing trip! You could have your family and 1 friend. Katy and I stared at it for ages until my phone started to ring, I answered it. I heard a man saying that I'd won a trip. Where? I asked myself. It could be to see my favourite animal, hyenas. But the sky looked grey and so miserable. My mum phoned me up. I answered it. She asked if I had been ok. I asked if she would come and have sandwiches for lunch.

Well done Kate. I'm impressed with the effort you have put in. I like the mixture of short and long sentences. It really builds on the story.

On a misarible day a grey hyena jumped out of the bush and climed on the human to get the sandwich. Then the human ran after the hyena up the huge slippy mounting. The grey hyena stipped and the human grabbed the sandwich and ran back down the mounting to the tree house, which was very high so they started to hunt for food like fruit and maybe animal meat when they found what they needed want so they went back to the tree house but then a hynea from somewhere jump out and pinched all of the food the human had. Then it went on and on till on of them died

Good work Caitlin. You have used a range of adjectives to describe the object. You have also included commas within your writing. Think about what other punctuation you could add to your writing.

As the war broke out in the Sahara desert the skies were GREY and MISRABLE, the sand was swirling all over. I am hoping to see some animals but I am desperate to see and hear the laughing HYENA. As we carried on walking the sand was hitting our faces, although the sky was grey the sand was really warm, it was like having a radiator in the Antarctic. I was so looking forward to a rest place, I was hungry and tired as was everyone else. We were so looking forward to our jam SANDWICH, water and small chocolate bar. The CLIMB was our next mission.

A good attempt Cobi. Try not to drift between both the past and present tenses. I like how you have included a short sentence at the end, as to build on from here.

I think I should be chosen for junior vets on call because I adore animals and I would like to be in the position of helping them. I like to learn and achieve new things, I always give 100%! I am outgoing and have a cheerful personality. I am willing to try any job I get asked to do. Also I am up for the challenge even if I am not keen on what I have to do! I am good and have skills for working in a team but also I can work independently. I like to of me like a sociable. I AM REALLY EXCITED.

I was doing some research on my third favourite animal, a HYENA. For some reason I didn’t want to do research about my first and second favourite animals, which are Dogs and Wolves. I found out that Hyenas are always laughing and can CLIMB up a range of tall mountains without running out of breath. After I had done my research I headed downstairs to get myself a snack. Mam had made me a cheese SANDWICH. It was delicious! I wanted to go out and play on my GREY electric scooter but the weather was MISERABLE so I decided to read my new book instead.

I'm bored! Mum suggested we went to the zoo, but there was no way I was going back there after what happened last time. Mum and dad were at work so I had to go with my gran, but I wasn't allowed to look at the HYENAs because gran had a surprising fear of hyenas. Meanwhile when we sat down to eat our SANDWICHS, the hyenas could smell them. Sandwiches are a very popular dish to hyenas. As soon as we took the sandwiches out of the containers they were stored in, the hyenas CLIMBED over the large steel metal fence, and nearly gave my gran a heart attack!!!!!

What a miserable day thought Emily! It was one of those days in the summer holidays in Egypt. She just couIn't find something to do. It was extremely hot and she could see little specs of grey dust combined with the sand.

"What a miserable, grey day" said Emily's mum. "I wonder what we could do on a day like this? Have you got any ideas Emily?" "We could make each other laugh?" "What a great idea!" Said mum looking pleased. So they went upstairs to collect different things to make each other chuckle. First Emily went up stairs and climbed to the top of her bunk bed. She picked up a hellium pump and ran back down stairs. Whilst mum however couldn't find anything so she picked up a bottle with nothing in it and went down stairs. When they heard each other they laughed like hyenas. Afterward they ate sandwiches and then decided to have a rest.

I was coming out of the skatepark and my dad and I heard police sirens in the distance so my dad said to CLIMB over the fence to see what is happening. There are lots of cars parked up so I couldn't quite see what was actually happening! My dad said to go over there to see what is happening but I was to scared to because there was a HYENA eating the cars he was starting on a GREY car. The MISERABLE HYENA looked at me and licked his chops so I ran away back to my dad! And my dad said because you can't get back through the traffic that we should have a big SANDWICH !!!!

One grey miserable day me and my family were at the zoo. First we started walking around looking in some large cages full of different kinds of birds, it was really good looking and finding out about different types of animals. After about 2 hours I was getting really tired so I sat on a green wooden bench for a rest and a bite to eat. I went to get my sandwich out my backpack but it was gone I said "who's took my sandwich ?" I heard a cheeky laugh behind me when I looked it was a hyena with my SANDWICH!!! The hyena went to climb back into its cage but I grabbed it and snatched the sandwich and ate it right in front of its face.

Daffodil fanaly reached home, but it was not like normal. Instead of a picture of a HYENA climbing,, in its place they was a picture of common birds. Her mum was eating a sandwich at a small table. She said 'I lost my job. I'm unemployed' and daffodil said 'I've got a dog called red' but red could cope with the gray, miserable house...

One morning my mam said to me what a grey miserable day it's so dark and cold. So We stayed in and later that day I read a really really really big book all about a laughing hyena. Once I had read through my basic information book I had to answer a few questions. I then decided to play out side with all of my friends as it brightened up a. Bit we all played blocky and I had some sandwiches at my friends house for lunch, my friends and I were trying to climb a great big oak tree it was really fun but then I had to go home because my dad had finished work and picked me up to go to football training.
